TRI Design Festival Launches with Gala Opening

TRI Design Festival officially launched earlier this week with a gala opening celebration hosted at The Aubrey at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. The inaugural festival is delivered by Knightsbridge Partnership and supported by King’s Road Partnership, bringing together leading voices from across the design industry alongside media, influencers and key stakeholders from the wider London design community.

The evening marked the beginning of several days of programming as TRI Design Festival presents a series of exhibitions, talks, installations and events taking place across the district.

Guests at the opening heard from festival curator Bilen Zeremariam, Editor-in-Chief of OLISE Magazine, who spoke about the importance of creating a dedicated platform for design within the area and the potential for TRI Design Festival to grow as a key event celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.

The event also highlighted the festival’s charity partner, Furnishing Futures, with founder Emily Wheeler sharing insights into the organisation’s work supporting women and families escaping domestic violence by helping them furnish safe new homes.

The gala welcomed representatives from across the design sector alongside festival participants, local businesses and members of the wider community. With many events already sold out, the festival has launched with strong momentum and enthusiasm from across the industry.

TRI Design Festival continues throughout the week with a programme of events hosted by businesses and partners across the district.
