The King’s Road Partnership BID is delighted to announce its official charity partner – the Kensington + Chelsea Foundation.
Quote from Steve Medway, CEO, The King’s Road Partnership.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with The K&C Foundation. They have exceptional local knowledge on the issues that face our community. Their network of frontline charities and ongoing new initiatives are the most efficient way for businesses to make a genuine difference on the ground. We are looking forward to working closely, together with our members, to support initiatives that will have the greatest impact and make lasting change in our district.”
As a borough Kensington and Chelsea is often associated with affluence and wealth, but it also features pockets of severe deprivation and significant inequalities in the education, health and employment prospects for some residents.
The K+C Foundation was set up in 2008 to gain support in addressing these inequalities as part of a wider vision where everyone has the opportunity to live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives.
To achieve this the K+C Foundation has conducted extensive research and raised awareness of key social issues affecting the community, and supports impactful local projects that tackle these issues and improve the lives and life chances of local residents.
In 2021 its projects reached almost 29,000 residents with support and services providing a lifeline to those in crisis.
Victoria Steward Todd, Director, K+C Foundation added: “We are delighted to be working in close partnership with the King’s Road Partnership as their nominated charity partner. Our priorities for 2022 and beyond will support tailored services focused on reducing education inequalities, increasing skills and employment and improving mental health in our community and we are looking forward to engaging and working with more local businesses to give back to the community and support residents in need.”
