On Friday 10th March, King’s Road Partnership hosted The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP. Not only is Greg our local MP, but he was also recently appointed Chairman of the Conservative Party. This new role is a ministerial position in which Greg oversees party administration, in addition to his constituency duties.
Greg was keen to learn about local business opportunities and challenges, so we designed a programme of events during which Greg was able to talk to local employees and business owners, as well as members of the King’s Road Partnership team, who updated Greg on our various initiatives. We visited Cadogan, Peter Jones, Jigsaw, Love My Human and the Cadogan Arms and we arranged for members of our Board to speak to Greg about commercial issues, such as the reinstatement of VAT-free shopping for international visitors, the impact of strikes on businesses, employment & workforce challenges and more.
We were keen for Greg’s visit to be insightful and productive and we were delighted that he was able to allocate time in his busy schedule to visit us. We look forward to updating Greg on our numerous activities going forward.
